FUNDING:
Donations to
the Casa de Misericordia are utilized for payment of utility bills, the purchase of gas and diesel for the vehicles, LP gas,
food, school supplies, and medical care, as well as for the salaries of the caregivers.

We make every
effort to be good stewards of God’s gifts. For example, when it is stocked we are able on a monthly basis to spend $150.00
to purchase $1000.00 worth of nonperishable food and personal care items from the Banco Comida – Food Bank in Acuña,
Mexico.

Templo San
Pablo Iglesia Metodista in Piedras Negras, Mexico
provides $350.00 per week for perishables and Sunday lunch.

Most of the
children’s shoes and clothing are donated, as well as some of the school supplies. Linens and household items, too,
are received through contributions.

An orthodontist
in Piedras Negras provides braces, gratis, for two children at a time. There are necessary expenses, however, like special
shoes for a child with bowed legs, dental, eye and medical services, which are not donated.

McKendree United Methodist
Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia,
Alamo Heights UMC of San Antonio, Texas, Suwanee First UMC, Suwanee, Georgia
and Northpointe Church in Adairsville, Georgia provide $3600.00
in pledged monthly support.

University United Methodist
Church in San Antonio
has pledged $2000.00 annually. Templo San Pablo Iglesia Metodista of Piedras Negras,
Mexico provides the salaries for (1) cook, (1) caretaker and
(1) maintenance person.
All other
funding is received as unpledged gifts and/or donations.
